Lachen project last progresses! Roof renovation - Derniers progrets du projet de Lachen avec la rénovation du toit

Bonjour à tous, 

Vous n'avez pas reçu de nouvelles du projet de Lachen depuis longtemps! Et pourtant les choses avancent. 

Grâce à un financement du ministère de la culture à Delhi (Bouddhista Art and Culture Scheme), le Lamoteng Charitable Trust a pu organiser la rénovation de la toiture entièrement mise en oeuvre par les villageois et avec la participation experte de notre charpentier Prakash Sutrodhar.

Nous présentons ici les photographies du chantier transmises par smartphones par Janam Lachenpa ancien maire de Lachen, Sonam Tashi Gyaltsen d'Echostream et Anna Balikci du Namgyal Institute of Tibetology qui ont oeuvrés dans l'ombre pour la réussite du projet. 

Merci à tous les participants de cette phase importante de la remise en état du Mani Lhakhang de Lachen qui ne craindra plus les fortes pluies de la mousson!

Vous verrez dans les photographies suivantes réparties en plusieurs articles sans description suivant la chronologie des opérations. Vous pourrez voir que d'importantes modifications ont été apportées à la toiture suivant les choix du monastère de Lachen.

Finally some news from the Lachen Mani Lhakhang Restoration Project! 

Things have moved on this year thanks to the funding from the Ministry of Culture in Delhi (Buddhist Art and Culture Scheme). The Lamoteng Charitable Trust organized the renovation of the roof totally undertaken by local people and wit the active expertise of Prakash Sutrodhar, our head carpenter.

We present here pictures of the work sent via smartphones by Janam Lachenpa former Pipon (village head) of Lachen, Anna Balikci (Namgyal Institute of Tibetology) and Sonam Tashi Gyaltsen (Echostream), without whom the whole work could not have been possible.

Many thanks to all the participants to this important phase! From now on, the Lachen Mani Lhakhang won't fear the heavy rains of monsoon!

The pictures are presented in chronological order without much description. You will be able to see that big changes have been decided by the monastery regarding the design of the roof.
