Voyage de France à Gangtok - From France to Gangtok

Samedi 21 mai: Lucile et Martin, les Compagnons du devoir volontaires du projet, ont pris les devant et s'envolent pour Delhi. En attendant Robert et Mélodie, ils visitent le fameux Qutub Minar et le gigantesque Bazar de Old Delhi. Un vrai choc culturel.

Lundi 23 mai: Robert part tôt de Béziers en train pour Paris où il retrouve Mélodie pour une dernière vérification des bagages et du matériel. A six heures du soir, en route pour l'aéroport Charles de Gaule. 

Mardi 24 mai: Arrivée à Delhi, course poursuite dans l'aéroport pour rattraper le retard causé par l'attente au contrôle des passeport. Extrême limite, Robert et Mélodie s'envolent pour Bagdogra où ils retrouvent Lucile et Martin venus avec un autre vol. Pour arriver à Gangtok, il faut encore 5 heures en voiture, passer le checkpost de Rangpo et arriver à la capitale du Sikkim sous une pluie battante.

Saturday 21st of May: Lucile and Martin, the volunteering Duty Companions, go ahead and fly to Delhi. They enjoy visiting the Qutub Minar and the bazar in Old Delhi until Robert and Mélodie arrive. A real cultural choc!

Monday 23rd of May: Robert leaves home early momrning by train to reach Paris and meet Mélodie. Last check-up of luggages and material before taking the plance from Paris to Delhi. 

Tuesday 24th of May: Arrival in Delhi, a big stress at the airport to catch the domestic flight because of the delay at the passport control. In extremis, Robert and Mélodie take off for Bagdogra where they meet Martin and Lucile arrived in another flight. From here to reach Gangtok, it is 5 hours by jeep on a mountain road, passing Rangpo check post and reach the capital of Sikkim under a heavy rain.

Premier dîner à Gangtok, repos bien mérité après deux jours de voyage.

First dinner in Gangtok, after two days travelling, it is nice to relax all together.
