Mission report

Chers lecteurs, 

La mission 2016 a pris fin. Robert est enfin arrivé chez lui après de nombreuses péripéties et les autres continuent leurs chemins en Inde ou ailleurs.

the 2016 mission came to its end. Robert finally reached home after a long journey, and the others are resuming various activities in India and elsewhere.

Anie donne la présentation qu'elle a préparé depuis des semaines main dans la main avec Robert.

Anie talks for Robert with whom she prepared the presentation during the last week.

En conclusion, Anie présente les prochaines étapes du projet mais aussi des axes de réflexion pour la réintroduction de la pierre sèche comme technique de construcion au Sikkim en particulier les routes et les murs de soutènement.

In conclusion, Anie presents the next phases of the project and also opens new ideas for the re introduction of dry stone as a useful construction technique in Sikkim, particularly for the roads and retaining walls. 

Taktse, présentation - Presentation at Taktse school

Anna Balikci a organisé avec Peter Lauenstein, directeur de l'école internationale Takste dans les environs de Gangtok une présentation du travail de Robert. De bon matin, nous nous y rendons pour rencontrer les jeunes sikkimais.

Anne Balikci and Peter Lauenstein, Director of Taktse School Internationl nearby Gangtok organized a presentation of Robert's work. Early morning, we reach the school in order to meet the young generation of Sikkimese.

Les élèves commencent par chanter l'hymne national indien.

Puis, Tenzing présente le mot du jour 'maçon'.

Then, Tenzing (TNT) presents the word of the day which is 'mason'.

La présentation commence par un film qui montre le travail de Robert. Le film a été traduit du français à l'anglais par Anie, Devadeep et Martin.

The presentation starts with a movie showing Robert's work. The movie was translated from French to English by Anie, Devadeep and Martin.

Beaucoup de questions intéressantes sont posées par les élèves à la fin de la présentation.

Many interesting questions are asked by the students at the end of the presentation.
