Réunion avec les représentants du village - Dzumsa meeting

La Dzumsa est l’assemblée du village comptant environ 280 foyers. La Dzumsa élit ses représentants chaque année composée de 2 Pipons, de Gyembos, de trésoriers et de messagers.

Aujourd’hui nous étions très heureux de pouvoir retrouver les représentants de la Dzumsa dans leur hall traditionnel, bâtiment ancien construit en pisé et récemment joliment restauré par les villageois.

Chinchap, ci-dessous devant l’ancien hall de réunion de la Dzumsa, est le fils de la chef des Nyungey Ams (les mères qui jeûnent). Il représente aujourd’hui les Nyungey Ams pour la réunion. Pour cette occasion, il a mis le manteau traditionnel pour homme (baku). Il est maintenant en charge de collecter des fonds à l’échelle locale pour le projet avec la permission du Bureau du district nord et de la Dzumsa.

The Dzumsa is the village assembly that counts almost as many persons as households (approx. 280). Every year, the Dzumsa elects its representatives: 2 Pipons, Gyembos, treasurers and messengers.

Today, we were very happy to meet the representatives of the Dzumsa in their traditional hall, an ancient rammed earth building that was recently restored by the villagers in a respectful and nice manner.

Chinchap, here below standing in front of the ancient Dzumsa hall, is the Nyungey Ams’ (fasting mothers) Chutim’s (head) son. He represents today the Nyungey Ams during the meeting. For this occasion, he dressed up with the traditional coat for men (baku). He is now in charge of a local collect of fund for the project with the permission of the North District D.C. and the Dzumsa’s.

Malgré la coupure de courant, nous avons pu discuter de nombreux points relatifs à l’organisation du projet, allant des commandes de matériel à la logistique, ainsi que de la recherche de fonds pour les phases futures du projet. L’engagement de la Dzumsa est essentiel pour mener à bien le projet et nous avons été ravis de voir leur enthousiasme.

Despite the power cut, we could discuss many aspects of the project, the organization, the material order and the logistic, but also the fund raising that is necessary to plan the future phases of the project. The engagement of the Dzumsa is essential for the success of the project and we were glad to see their enthusiasm.
