Les nouveaux Pipons de Lachen (chef du village), Monsieur Palzor Lachenpa et Nawang Hyshey, ont été élus en février et sont responsables des affaires publiques du village pour un an.
Les Pipons vont aider le projet de restauration du Mani Lhakhang de plusieurs manières irremplaçables: ils sont les intermédiaires entre l'équipe de restauration et la communauté locale, les artisans locaux et les interlocuteurs privilégiés pour l'organisation des commandes de matériel (pierres, bois, sable etc.) et leur transport vers Lachen.
Nous sommes très heureux aujourd'hui d'avoir pu rencontrer un des Pipon par l'intermédiaire de Rinzing Chewang Kazi, et de lui offrir l'écharpe blanche traditionnelle (Kadak) pour le féliciter de son élection récente. De plus, nous prévoyons de collaborer dès notre prochain meeting à Lachen d'ici une semaine.

The New Pipons of Lachen (village head), Misters Palzor Lachenpa and Nawang Hyshey, were elected in February 2016. They are in charge of the village's affairs for one year.
The Pipons will help the Mani Lhakhang Restoration Project in many ways: they are the intermediaries between the restoration team and the local community, with local workers, and important interlocutors for everything that concerns material orders and transport.
We were glad today to have the chance to meet one of the Lachen Pipon with the help of Rinzing Chewang Kazi, offer the Pipon the traditional white kadak to congratulate him for his recent election. Moreover, we plan to collaborate during our next visit in Lachen, hopefully after one week.
